Tiny toes, small hands, gentle yawns, and lots of sleep… but they don’t stay little forever. As one of the top studios in the country, our Newborn Sessions are the perfect way to capture that first stage where the journey begins. The stunning portraiture created can be of just baby, or can include parents and siblings too. The diary fills up fast so advanced booking is essential to guarantee a space.
As the only studio in the UK to hold full AANPS and APNPI newborn safety certifications along with award-winning images you are in safe hands, I have trained with some of the best newborn photographers in the world and can’t wait to create beautiful portraiture to cherish for life.

Frequently Asked Questions
When are Newborn Sessions held?
I typically aim for between 5 and 10 days old for the best possible images. We don’t set the exact shoot day until baby arrives so don’t worry if you have a longer stay in hospital - we simply work around this and schedule for once your back home.
How long do Newborn Sessions last?
My Newborn Sessions are very baby-led, with plenty of time for feeds, changes, and resettling. Sessions are generally 2-3 hours long and we never book anything after the session so that there’s never any rush.
What training and experience do you have?
With over two decades of experience in the photography industry, and over 4000 studio sessions since opening our Arbroath studio, I have built a great reputation as one of the top newborn studios in the country. On top of this I update our training regularly on everything from local first aid courses to training one on one with the industries top photographers.
When should I book?
You can book your session anytime from the 12-week scan. I only take on a select number of due dates each month so advance booking is crucial to guarantee your space. With babies sometimes arriving earlier or later than expected, I can sometimes also take on last-minute sessions so it’s always worth getting in touch to check.
